Fan of movies? Art, stories, culture, tears, and laughter?
Join Spokane Area Jewish Family Services for the 2025 Spokane Jewish Film Festival!
Opening Jan. 25 with a catered reception and screening at the Magic Lantern Theatre, the 21st annual festival boasts 11 wonderful films from a variety of backgrounds and directors, not to mention one from our own Spokane community!
With opportunities for in-person and online viewing, socializing, and filmmaker Q&As, the festival program contains something for everyone and every budget. Mark your calendars for the Washington and Pacific Northwest premieres of multiple films, including the local documentary Carla the Rescuer, which shares the story of celebrated Holocaust survivor (and Spokane Jewish community member) Carla Peperzak, her heroic efforts with the Dutch resistance during WWII, and her current work as a 101-year-old Holocaust educator. And that’s just the first night!
Join us in person Jan. 25-26 and Feb. 1-2 and online Jan. 26-Feb. 1 for heartfelt tales of Jewish life, culture, and history – all told from a broad range of perspectives. Additionally, festival proceeds directly support the human services work of SAJFS to uplift seniors, low-income households, and people with disabilities. It’s a win for the whole community; we hope to see you there! The festivities start at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 25. For more information, trailers, and to buy tickets, visit us at sjff2025.eventive.org.
