If you come across our Hebrew School students this week, you may notice that they have a little extra pep in their step- they are a bundle of excited nervous energy as they prepare for their first of two weekends devoted to class led services!
For the past five months, our Hebrew School students have devoted themselves to studying various parts of the Friday evening and Saturday morning services. Over the coming weekend, we hope you will come support our students as they lead both services- Kitah Alef (3rd grade) through Kitah Dalet (6th grade) will be leading us on Friday night, and Kitah Gimmel - Ktah Hey will be leading us on Saturday morning.
It means so much to our students when congregants show up to support and encourage their progress, and acknowledge the hard work they each put into being a shaliach tzibur (a person who leads the congregation in prayer). A pat on the back, a kind word, and participative encouragement are all excellent ways to remind our students that they are important to our community, and we value the role they play in it.
Thank you for joining us in celebrating our students- we look forward to seeing your smiling faces as they take to the bimah to show off their amazing skills, and many thanks to our wonderful teachers- Rabbi Tamar, Elisheva, and Liz, as well as our incredible madrichim.
