How to Give

 Temple Beth Shalom Funds

You can donate to TBS and any of our special funds by sending a check to 1322 E. 30th Avenue, Spokane, WA  99203.  You can also pay by credit card by calling our bookkeeper at 509-747-3304 extension #108

Cantor Fund

Donations help offset the cost of hiring a cantor for High Holy Days. 

Choir Fund

Donations help offset expenses incurred by the Choir for music, robes, special services, etc.

Harold Diskin Memorial Fund

Established in memory of Harold Diskin, donations are used for specific capital expenditures. 

Gan Rachel Family Fund

Established in memory of Rachel Erin Levitt,

the fund is used to benefit the Temple preschool and monthly Shabbat babysitting.

General Fund

Donations received are used for the general  operation of the Temple. 

Julie Gottesman Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established in memory of Julie Gottesman, donations received are used for scholarships for Temple members. The Gottesman family administers the fund.     

Marsha Hindin Religious School Fund

Established in memory of Marsha Hindin. The fund is specifically used for the capital expenditures for the religious school. 

C.E.H. Fund

Fund is privately administered by Gene Huppin. 

Abe and Marian Huppin Memorial Fund

Established in memory of Abe and Marian

Huppin, the fund is used for specific capital expenditures. 

Lue Soss Kidush Fund

Established in memory of Lue Soss, the fund is used to offset the Saturday morning Kiddush luncheon expenses. 

David Krell Memorial Fund

Established in memory of David Krell and used for planting trees. 

Library Fund

Donations received are used for the purchase of books and materials for the Temple Library. 

Memorial Fund

Donations received are used for the general operation of the Temple. 

Mitzva Corps

Donations received are used to offset the cost of meals or flowers for members who are shut-ins, coming home from a hospital stay, or getting through a personal loss. 

Mount Nebo Cemetery Fund

Donations received benefit Mount Nebo Cemetery.

President’s Discretionary Fund

Funded by private donations. The fund is administered by the Temple President who decides how the money will be spent so as to best benefit the Temple 

Prayer Book Fund

Donations received are used to purchase or maintain prayer books. 

Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund

Funded by private donations. The fund is administered by the Rabbi who decides how the money will be spent so as to best benefit the Temple. 

Rashkov Religious School Scholarship

Established in memory of Morris and William

Rashkov, the fund is used to help individuals who are unable to afford the cost of religious school tuition. The Education Director, along with the Temple President, administers the fund. Scholarships are requested through application forms available in the Education Department. All requests are confidential. 

Rosenfield Jewish Youth Fund

Established in memory of Joe Rosenfield, the funds are used to support Kadima and USY events and benefit individuals who need assistance paying their Camp Solomon Schechter tuition balance after application of camp scholarships. 

Torah Fund

Donations received are used for Torah restoration and related expenses.  

Yom HaShoah Fund

Donations received enhance and expand the scholarships awarded to the student winners of the annual Spokane Community Observance of the Holocaust Creative Writing Contest.
