Events
Many
social activities and community events are scheduled throughout the
year. These include:
- Our annual
Kosher Dinner, where over 2,000 people in the Inland Northwest
enjoy a traditional kosher meal.
- Action Auction,
a fund-raiser featuring congregant-sponsored social events
- Retreats:
spiritual, educational and recreational weekends
- Community
Outreach at local hospitals, parks, shelters and social service
agencies
- Israeli dancing,
Potluck Dinners, Picnics & Barbecues
Opportunities for our
youth to have Jewish experiences outside of Temple Beth Shalom
worship and education include:
- Taking
part in active USY (United Synagogue Youth) and Kadima groups
led by advisors and our Educational Director, with strong
parental support.
- Camp Solomon
Schechter in Olympia, WA., offers a wonderful Jewish camp
experience for Grades 3 and Up.
Our seniors enjoy
monthly luncheons and programs through our Spokane Area Jewish
Family Services. Temple Beth Shalom Mitzva Corps Provides additional
services.
